The story starts with Polly Doyle. She is a really interesting character With a super interesting job. She is a phone operator with a twist. Recently back in her childhood home after a struggling attempt to get into hollywood, she is trying to make ends meet. Since she rediscovered baking, she decides to enter the reality competition show bake off with her boyfriend. However, she soon finds out he is cheating on her and now she is desperate. Desperate enough to pretend relationship with her childhood friend Keane.
Keane Marshall has left is cushiony wall-street job to open a restaurant in his childhood town. He used to be a part of Polly’s gabd, The Misfits. But soon Polly realises he he no longer a misfit but a handsome beefy hunk. Theirs chemistry helps with the pretend relationship but no so mich with them keeping their distance.
This was a sweet, hilarious story full of funny and interesting characters who will definitely leave a mark with the readers. The story flowed well and it was difficult to put down once started. Must read , especially for Polly Doyle!
