This story was so sweet and beautiful!! Madeleine and Cortland have secretly loved each other since they were kids and a chance meeting brings them face-to-face. The various emotions and us and downs these characters go through were engaging.
Mad has just broken up from her boyfriend and feels she needs to be more confident and self-respecting. She meets Cort when she’s super drunk and ends up puling in front of him. Cort helps her out while they reconnect. Mad had hated Cort on the principle that he was her twin sisters ex and had broken up with her very badly. But the only mistake Cort made then was to go out with one twin when he was in love with the other.

It was always you, Mad.

Mad and Cort are absolutely adorable together. They match perfectly in every way. Mad is loyal, caring and sweet. Cort brings out the best and the wildest in her. Cort is talented musician, loyal and loving. He is very understanding with Mad but always shows his affection and passion with her. He has always loved Mad but she cannot go through with this relationship since he is her sisters ex.

You can’t dump a girl, then date her sister.”
“There must be a statute of limitations,” Cort insisted.
Merit took his sunglasses off, and Cort did the same. Merit leaned forward and looked Cort right in the eyes, his expression grave. “Life. It’s for life, Cort.”
“But—”

Katy Regnary has out done herself once again with this sweet and emotional story. I love the characters and their inner turmoils. I can’t wait to read more about the people on Blueberry Lane.
