Review: Just Friends

Just Friends
Just Friends by Monica Murphy

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I am not quite sure what to say. I am still trying to get my thoughts in order. This book was epitome of teenage drama…the real kind. Very 90210/Gossip Girl.
Olivia is in her senior year and seems to be a girl with good head on her shoulders. However, when she comes back from the summer break, there is a stark difference in the dynamics of her friends and everyone around. Her best friends Emily and Dustin seem to be keeping secrets and acting strange. And then there is the new boy in town, Ryan.
One thing I can definitely say, that author nailed it on the turmoils of being a teenager. There’s friendship, jealousy, infatuation, attraction, peer pressure, need to succeed in school, be wild and free or be the good girl.
I hate that this book ends in a cliffhanger. But I would definitely want to read the next segment coz all the characters were intriguing and interesting.
Its not your mushy YA romance and the plot is well defined to keep you guessing till the end.
